- Initial Inspection and Quotation - FREE*
There is no charge for me to take a look at your equipment and give you a repair quotation.
* Occasionally, a quotation for repair may involve substantial investigative work and a charge may be neccessary, this however will be agreed beforehand.
- General service of your computer
Component cleanout, core hardware component testing for fault identification;
operating system software repair and system file repair; device driver repair and configuration; virus/malware and unwanted program removal etc - typically £65
- Desktop Computer Repair
Install components: DVD Writer, Graphics Card, Memory etc
Labour charge typically £75 + parts.
(Above includes a full cleanout of computer cabinet, graphics card, power supply, heat exchangers and fans etc.)
All other types of desktop computer repair undertaken and quoted for as required.

- Keyboard replacement £55 - £95 plus parts (parts range from £15 - £130)
- Power socket repair - £95 plus parts (parts range from £5 - £30)
- Laptop screen replacement - £95 plus parts (parts range from £39 upwards)
All other types of laptop repair undertaken and quoted for as required.

- Reinstallation of Windows Operating System with Backup of Personal User Data.
Reinstallation Includes the Following :-
- Two full backups of your data stored on separate media before any other work commences
- Hard Drive - Surface Test - Seek Test - Controller Test (This test is important and takes time)
- Hard drive reformatting
- Memory test
- Temperature Check/Cooling system cleanout.
- A fresh installation of Windows operating system including all current updates, installation of relevant system drivers, auxiliary programs such as Adobe, Anti-Virus etc.
- Microsoft Office will be reinstalled where required
- Restoration of all user data to the original location - including favourites, documents, pictures, videos, desktop etc.
A full reinstall of your Windows operating system will guarantee the removal of any malware/viruses, get your computer or laptop back up to full speed and cure any annoying program crashes/hangs. It will boot up quickly again, as it was when it was new. Reinstalling the Windows operating system will take over 24 hours (to do the job properly).
Fixed price £95 regardless of the time it takes.
(An extra charge may be necessary when extremely high volumes of personal data are involved) .
- Data Destruction
I offer a professional data destruction service from as little as £15.
Your personal data will be completely destroyed to MOD standards - Laptops, PCs, Tablets etc.
(In some cases, the value of your scrap equipment in exchange will cover the cost of data destruction.)

Pricing
Where charges are concerned, you won't have to worry about runaway costs.
You will be informed of the total cost before any work is done.
Computer repairs start at £65 for a general service (cooling check, clean out, virus/spyware/malware check, system stability check etc) to a full setup which includes double backup of your files, checking and formatting drives, re-installation of Windows and replacement of your personal files.
If physical repairs are also required and things take a little longer than anticipated, you will be asked to pay no more than £150* labour regardless of how long a repair takes. Work will not commence until costs and duration have been agreed.
* Please note: All prices quoted are for labour only - the maximum charge applies per single fault only - multiple faults on the same equipment may incur an extra charge unless they are minor faults - any parts needed will be extra. As mentioned above, work will not commence until costs and duration have been agreed.

If you think your laptop is running hot - then it probably is - don't wait until it's too late.
Laptops that overheat are destined to fail, maybe not immediately but it can be within just a few months. Prevention is better than a very expensive and usually prohibitive repair cost.
A clean-out of your laptop cooling system and a fresh application of thermal compound to the GPU and CPU is all that is required to get your laptop running cool again.
Ignoring overheating problems will, in most cases, lead to a totally dead laptop.
